Costambar Home Owners Association (the APC):

 

Costambar was created as a "Planned Tourist Community" by Presidential Order in 1972. The 465 acres, fronting 2.2 miles of ocean were divided into just over 1,000 lots of between 490 and 1,350 square meters each.

 

Since 1985 the Asociacion de Propietarios en Costambar Inc (the "APC") is the not-for-profit homeowners association representing, managing and promoting the well being of Costambar and its residents. The Board of Directors of the APC is elected by its members every two years. 

 

Today, the APC is like homeowners’ association everywhere, with an emphasis on community security.  As well as maintaining a security presence at the entrance to Costambar, the APC helps Costambar become a more pleasant place to live through its maintenance functions performed by its paid employees and the volunteer activities of its members.

 

Every property owner in Costambar is expected to contribute that property’s share to the expenses incurred by the APC.  Stop in at the APC office on Cristobal Colon, next to Villas Jazmin to sign up.
