The Home Owners Association performs in the same way as other HOA's throughout North America and Europe - managing shared spaces for the benefit of the community.  In addition to the usual HOA duties, the APC is heavily involved in lobbying different levels of government for municipal services needed in Costambar, and for responses to issues that arise in our community.  Below are some of the letters we have sent to federal ministries and local government, requesting that attention be given to our local issues, as well as a copy of the Ministry of Tourism's basic zoning law for construction in Costambar:
